Ishtar Women’s Resource Society is inviting applications for the role of Part-Time Women’s Support Worker. Reporting to the Second-Stage Housing Manager, the Women’s Support Worker provides support, security, advocacy, information, crisis response, referrals, and safety planning to residents and crisis line callers under the harm reduction model through an intersectional feminist approach.

Temporary Women’s Support Services Coordinator
We’re currently hiring a Temporary Women’s Support Services Coordinator, beginning as soon as available, with an anticipated end date of April 16, 2027.
Reporting to the Programs Manager, the role of this unionized position (BCGEU) is to provide direct program services as well as oversight for the day-to-day operations of the community-based victim services team, and domestic violence liaison and outreach programs, by ensuring program procedures align with and reflect Ishtar Society’s beliefs and values. The role includes coaching, training, supervision, support, and evaluation of program staff, volunteers, and practicum students.

Clinical Practicum
The Stopping The Violence Women’s Counselling Program welcomes students completing a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology or Clinical Social Work for clinical practicum.
