Our Executive Director, Julia (Boyle) Davidson, with three inspiring SFU PDP students who are fundraising in support of women and children at Ishtar – thank you for your generosity and heart!
On Monday, May 30th, we had the pleasure of welcoming three compassionate and driven students from Simon Fraser University’s Faculty of Education: Raveen Dhaliwal, Sanamdeep (Sandie) Kaur Sohota, and Patricia (Trish) Tulloch. As part of their Professional Development Program (PDP), these aspiring educators reached out to us with a heartfelt wish – to support women and children in our programs through a special fundraising initiative.
With remarkable energy and dedication, they secured donations from local vendors and assembled fifteen thoughtful care packages for women, with plans to include packages for children as well. Every item collected reflects their commitment to uplifting and supporting survivors in our community.
We’re incredibly grateful for the time, care, and generosity these students have poured into this project. Their efforts are a beautiful reminder of the power of youth-led community action – and the kind of future educators our world needs.
